Natan, at 18 months foundered and in the process of orthopedic shoeing was lifted very high in the heels, had a botched coronary grooving, she was walking on her toes in reversed shoes. 

Her movement was a walk that crisscrossed her front legs trying to weight only her outside of the hoof.  She was very extensor bearing and they would swell and thickened.

The coffin bone pointing straight down in one hoof and one was beginning to move further back then straight down.  She is now able to run, canter, trot and enjoy her life but, as a cripple.  She moves deliberately, went through a year of abscessing every few months. 

Natan had for several years disease in the laminar wedge that undermined all the trimming and repair to her capsule. Seldom is there recurring disease in the laminar wedge now since the use of White Lightning treatments.  Her heels are very contracted but healthy in horn.  The digital cushion is developed and other then her toe area that is small because she has only about half a coffin bone in each foot she lives a full life.

To help redirect the tubule growth in the quarters they had to be reduced up of the ground as in the

picture below.

After removing the laminar wedge her heels quickly opened up as you see below.  The heels nearly touched

as seen in the picture on the left

This is Natan who though has deformed capsules because of the lack of bone in her feet is

able to kick up a good time.
